Standard embroidery pricing includes: one design location, up to 6 thread colors per order. Additional colors may incur extra charges.
Standard Thread Colors: Madeira Polyneon 40 excluding multi-color threads, any threads/colors required/requested from the standard thread will be billed at $10.00 per spool with a minimum of 6 spools required.
Extra Services
Hat 3D Embroidery – Add $1.25 per item

Spoilage / Scrap Rate
Embroidery is a manual and mechanical process that may result in spoilage due to thread breaks, hooping issues, material defects, or machine error. A spoilage rate of up to 2% of the total order quantity (or at least one item per order, whichever is greater) is considered standard and acceptable within industry norms.
- Coastal Decorating is not liable for the cost or replacement of spoiled/damaged items within this allowance, especially on customer-supplied garments.
- Customers are encouraged to supply 2%–5% extra garments to mitigate the risk of shortages due to spoilage.
- Spoilage exceeding the standard rate will be evaluated for possible credit or rework, at Coastal Decorating’s discretion and only if due to our proven negligence.
Handling of Extras / Leftover Items
Any extra garments or leftover items will ship with the final product to the location provided by the customer. If the items are to be held Coastal Decorating will hold the remaining items for 30 calendar days after order completion. After this period, unclaimed items may be discarded or donated unless other arrangements are made in writing.
